The feeling of a thousand needles plunging into the skin - that's what reality is. When several layers of skin are removed and even the air becomes painful, the stare every second is sharp. All those faces, the bright colors - they're like patchwork quilts instead of a shell to help withstand that contact.
This exhibition is about how hard it is to sustain contact with reality, the acute sense of the here and now.
